Description
A mild start to the week is expected across San Diego County with a continuation of morning clouds close to the coast and afternoon high temperatures near normal to start the week before climbing into the above normal range later in the week. A marine layer of clouds is back Monday morning to greet the coast and inland valleys.
By Monday afternoon, temperatures will likely rest in the upper 60s and low 70s along the coast, climbing as you head east. Cloud cover should be more abundant each day in the a.m. hours before gradual clearing from east to west. There's still an opportunity for the coastline to hold onto dense clouds for a sizeable portion of each day, but at least some sunshine is anticipated daily.
With several wildfires burning across other parts of California, we're reminded of the year-round concern of wildfires and reduced air quality. This is an issue we'll watch to start this week, especially with the Post Fire in Southern California continuing to reduce air quality to the moderate range around a good portion of Southern California.
