Starting this summer we'll see a decades-in-the-making redevelopment project in Mira Mesa. A long-awaited $43 million renovation project is coming to Mira Mesa Community Park. "It is exciting they're going to be doing those renovations it definitely could use it," said Sandy who visits the park often. The project was first envisioned in 2005 and is now coming to fruition. The project includes a new aquatic complex that will have a 14 lane competition pool, a pool for activities and a splashpad. "This is our first time here. I like this park," said 8-year-old Emma.
