John Culea had a tough assignment in April 1982—touring million-dollar mansions for sale. It was our version of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles when he toured the historic Grayhall mansion in Beverly Hills. Owner Bernard Cornfeld was selling it for six million dollars cash. Douglas Fairbanks Sr., Tony Curtis, and George Hamilton were previous owners. It was the scene of countless lavish parties and it was used in the 1976 version of A Star Is Born as the home of rock star John Norman Howard, played by Kris Kristofferson.
