Meet Declan | Declan was riding his bike around his neighborhood when he crashed and fell into the handlebars. He was airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital and immediately rushed to surgery. Declan underwent five surgeries to stop the extensive bleeding. During that time, he went through an amount of blood that exceeded six adult human’s worth. This month marks 1 year since Declan’s accident. He is back riding his bike and being an active kid! CBS 8 is working with Rady Children’s to help raise much-needed funds to launch a Resident Canine Therapy Program to help ease the pain and suffering of children who are patients at Rady Children’s Hospital.
