Meet Paxton | Diagnosed at birth with a rare combination of nongenetic abnormalities, Paxton was rushed to Rady Children's Hospital within the first few hours of his life. At 2 days old, he underwent the first of now more than 20 surgeries. In his first 6 years, Paxton has been under anesthesia more times than his parents can count and required the care of teams within more than five specialties at Rady Children's. CBS 8 is working with Rady Children’s to help raise much-needed funds to launch a Resident Canine Therapy Program in to help ease the pain and suffering of children who are patients at Rady Children’s Hospital.
