Description
U.S. troops landed on the beaches of Normandy and started the liberation of France in World War II, 80 years ago this week. A week of ceremonies will culminate with President Biden there for D-Day events Thursday, June 6.
CBS 8's Anna Laurel spoke with a woman who documents D-Day events for the U.S. Army. She has video of air assaults and troops running on the beach in Normandy. She also knew Coronado native and World War II paratrooper Tom Rice and said his picture is everywhere in one Normandy town as he is honored for his service.
