Pink bows, champagne and decorations brightened a cruise filled with people dedicated to support Susan G. Komen San Diego as it made a celebratory trip around the bay. CBS 8’s Chief Meteorologist Karlene Chavis was recognized Sunday for her contributions. “I raised 7,175 dollars which is crazy because our goal was 5,000,” Chavis said. Karlene participated in the Big Wig campaign in March. She wore a pink big wig to raise awareness and funds to fight breast cancer.
