Description
26-year-old Christian Howard pleaded not guilty to two felonies and one misdemeanor inside a Vista courtroom Tuesday. He is accused of a fatal hit-and-run, killing 51-year-old Tracey Gross on her bicycle more than seven weeks ago in Oceanside.
“He did not stop, he did not render aid to this victim, and instead ultimately fled the scene,” said Deputy District Attorney, Nicole Gerard, in the courtroom.
According to Oceanside Police, it happened March 17 at 11:35 p.m. along S.R. 76 near Singh Way. The prosecutor alleges Howard veered into the bike lane, striking Gross from behind.
