San Diego Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal early Tuesday morning shooting in a City Heights apartment complex. Police responded to a report of a shooting around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in the 4000 block of 36th Street. According to Lieutenant Jeud Campbell, when officers got to the scene they found a resident of the building suffering from at least one gunshot wound in the apartment complex courtyard. Officers gave the man aid until paramedics arrived and transported him to a local hospital. The 33-year-old victim died at the hospital. Police are not releasing the victim's name until his family is notified. Police arrested 32-year-old Edgar Sanchez, who is related to someone who lives at the apartment complex, according to a news release from SDPD.
