The field is set for the 68 teams in the 2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament so let March Madness officially begin! The Aztecs received a #5 seed in the NCAA Tournament East Region and will play Friday in Spokane, WA vs #12 University of Alabama at Birmingham. The San Diego State Aztecs knew they had played well enough to make the tournament even without the automatic bid that New Mexico received with their conference tournament win over the Aztecs on Saturday. If the Aztecs win their first game on Friday, they will get the chance to play either #4 Auburn or #13 Yale in Spokane on Sunday.
