The community of Otay Mesa is giving the green light to to make a dangerous intersection safer. The four-way stop at Del Sol Boulevard and Kostner Drive has been the site of dozens of accidents over the years, as well as a popular site for street racing. Otay Mesa residents have been sounding the alarm for years about the dangers of this intersection where too often, drivers simply ignore the stop signs. "It's very dangerous!" said Maria Castaneda, who has lived on the corner of this intersection for more than three decades. Over the years, she has continually witnessed drivers barreling through here.
