The brand new Dianne Jacob Lakeside Equestrian Park is about to hold one of its first big events. But neighbors say it focuses more on horsepower than horses, and that has them concerned about the safety of their animals. It's called Monster Truck Wars and their own Facebook page describes it as "earth-shaking, ground-pounding, high-flying excitement". Two shows are scheduled to take place at the equestrian park next month. “It's just inappropriate,” said Joan Embrey, who is unquestionably one of the world's leading advocates when it comes to protecting animals.
