Description
Heavy rain further north in Ventura and Santa Barbara caused flooding on Monday while people in North County San Diego enjoyed dry, sunny skies ahead of more rain expected Tuesday.
Up to half an inch of rain is expected to hit San Diego as an atmospheric river comes through southern California. City crews are still working to clear mud and debris in preparation for the storm, officials say.
Residents in low-lying areas are encouraged to take precautions ahead of the storm and follow safety procedures if flooding does happen.
There is a Flood Watch in most parts of the county from 4 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Wednesday.
