Description
Kansas City Chiefs ended Super Bowl LV III as two-time champions, bringing the team to its fourth total win throughout NFL history and its third in five years.
Patrick Mahomes helped the team win when he threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman in overtime, and the Chiefs rallied to beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 on Sunday, becoming the first repeat Super Bowl champs in 19 years and ninth overall.
San Diegans showed support by painting the town red. Fans flocked to the Rooftop Cinema in Seaport Village, Kansas City BBQ downtown and Home and Away in Old Town to show their team spirit.
Chiefs fan Joshua Lake said he felt at home among the crowd.
"It's amazing," Lake said. "People fly in from out of town to come to this bar. It's like being at home. It's like being in Kansas City."
