These tours will offer valuable insights into selecting the best seasonal and local produce and prepared foods, and the immense benefits of supporting local agriculture and farmers.
• Topics will include the advantages of buying local, the economic and health benefits of shopping at farmer’s markets, how to navigate a farmer’s market, and strategies for building nutritious meals from market finds.
• Market attendees are encouraged to visit the Cardiff 101 Information Booth to engage in mini-educational sessions with Francesca to ask any nutrition questions they have!
• All participants receive a complimentary Cardiff Farmer’s Market tote bag, promoting sustainable shopping practices.
• Tours will take place at 11am, 12pm, and 1pm, leaving from the Cardiff 101 Information Booth
• MiraCosta College will also host a booth providing information about their nutrition certificates and courses. Attendees can also learn about support services for registering with Cal Fresh and EBT, thanks to a representative from the college's CARE team.
• Open every Saturday (rain or shine) from 10 am – 2 pm, the weekly Cardiff Farmer’s Market is a vibrant celebration of local farmers, diverse culinary delights, skilled artisans, and makers from across San Diego County.

About Cardiff Farmer’s Market - The Cardiff 101 Mainstreet Association’s weekly Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm, rain or shine. Located at MiraCosta College San Elijo Campus, Cardiff Farmers Market is a Certified California Farmers Market, featuring locally sourced produce sold by local farmers. The market features an array of related food products and prepared food vendors, along with a curated group of craft vendors and local makers. There is free and ample parking (room for 850+ vehicles) and the Market proudly accepts EBT payments and is ADA-compliant.
