Description
The impact of the storm hitting San Diego County was felt Monday morning with conditions set to taper off in the afternoon with scattered showers expected. Several inches of rain were already on the ground by late Monday morning.
In the North County community of Cardiff there were overwhelmed storm drains, which flooded the surrounding streets. In the South Bay at San Ysidro Boulevard, roadways were flooded and authorities made water rescues near the Tijuana River Valley.
The Farmers Insurance Open in Torrey Pines begins Wednesday, January 24 and typically players would be practicing Monday, but due to the rain that has been delayed and the course was closed.
