A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck off the coast of San Diego early Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey. The quake was first reported at 2:44 a.m. Monday and was 69 miles off the coast of San Diego. It was centered 66 miles southwest off the coast of La Jolla and 67.4 miles southwest of Coronado.
