Vino Carta is a sip-and-shop wine bar and store that focuses on natural wines from small producers from all around the world. It has two locations – one in Little Italy and one in Solana Beach. Vino Carta has a Wine Club for $60 per month with no monthly minimum. Membership includes two bottles of wine each month, 15% off bottles to go, no corkage fee for in-store bottle purchases, exclusive access to limited wines throughout the year, and discounts on tastings.
Christmas Dinner with RustiCucina: RustiCucina, Hillcrest’s premier farm-to-neighborhood Sicilian restaurant is welcoming families and friends into their warm Italian kitchen this Christmas season. With a $60 per person pre-fixe menu on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day families and friends have plenty of time to gather and pass off the cooking to indulge in a RustiCucina’s specialty holiday menu. Shared plates include their fresh Bruschetta, Calamari, Sicilian Style Sautéed Artichokes, and house meatballs served with parmesan fondu. Entrees will feature a rich Lobster Ravioli, a Pollo Ripieno Alla Parmigana, Brasato Di Manzo served over parmesan Risotto, and Salmon over a white wine sauce. Their signature sides include truffle fries, brussel sprouts, garlic bread, and roasted carrots. Of course, it would not be a special occasion without RustiCucina’s signature Cheese Wheel allowing you to make your own Filet Mignon Pasta Dish. Their menu will be available from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Holiday Desserts with Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters - Will be showcasing a variety of desserts and will provide at-home baking tips. Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters is the La Jolla Shores sister restaurant to George’s at the Cove and is led by Executive Chef Marty Fay. Sandpiper is open for Christmas Eve dinner from 4:00 – 9:00 p.m., featuring its standard menu along with wine selections from resident Advanced Sommelier Evan Vallee and specialty ‘Tis the Season Christmas cocktails.
