San Ysidro has one of the world’s busiest border crossings. During the holidays, it's turned into a shopping mecca welcoming visitors to discover hidden treasures and take advantage of seasonal sales. CBS 8 reporter Ariana Cohen first stopped at Carolin's Shoes on San Ysidro Blvd. to check out the great deals on winter coats, boots, backpacks and more. 18-year-old Caroina Lin works there. Her mother, Olivia, started the family business. "She started it after she moved from Mexico. My dad moved from Taiwan and making their own business was the most efficient to make money," said Lin. "By coming here, you are helping outr business and making profit."
