A Vista substitute teacher has been arrested by police and accused of sexually abusing a teenage girl. Conner Chanove, 27, a substitute teacher with the Vista Unified School District, was arrested on Monday by Oceanside Police and charged with multiple felonies including lewd acts with a child under 14-years-old, luring a minor for sex and arranging a meeting with a minor. A preliminary investigation by police revealed that Chanove is a coach for Seaside Water Polo Club, an all-girls team in Carlsbad. Chanove was also previously employed as a lifeguard for the City of Encinitas and the City of Carlsbad. Chanove was booked into Vista Detention Facility on $1,000,000 bail.
