Description
The tiniest Halloween costumes were on display Friday at SHARP Chula Vista at the hospital's 23rd annual Halloween baby parade.
It was another successful event this year filled with tiny humans decked out in astronaut, princess, minion and race car costumes.
Doctors and nurses got into the Halloween spirit as each booth represented a different unit at the hospital. Mario and Princess Peach were there to represent SHARP Chula Vista's Emergency Department.
Felicia Carlucci, a Perinatal Educator, is a fan of the baby parade.
"This is one of the best events ever," she said. "You get to see little sweet babies, like this one — in costume — out celebrating Halloween, it's the best."
"It's a good chance to do something good for the community, but also - it's good for our souls, just to be out with the babies," she added.
Many of the kids in costume also have moms in the hospital's free breastfeeding support group. SHARP Chula Vista brings around 3,000 babies into the world each year.
