Festivities for Día de Los Muertos have started in San Diego County, the tradition to honor loved ones who have died. Community members got an early preview Saturday at a Plaza Bonita mall event with face painting, live performances and photo opportunities with catrines y catrina's. Día de Los Muertos, also known as Day of the Dead, is commemorated November 1-2. The holiday pays tribute to the life of those who are no longer alive.
