November 26, 1965 About three thousand San Diego teens played bit parts in a movie today and loved every minute of it even though they didn’t get paid. 20th Century Fox is filming a television pilot starring Jan and Dean. They invited San Diegans to the Civic Theatre to provide an audience for the filming on a free first come basis. Needless to say, every seat was taken. The story line of the proposed TV series has Jan & Dean appearing in concerts around the country and taking in the sights at each city they visit. Earlier, the stars were filmed at the Zoo, Balboa Park and the downtown San Diego area.
