Description
Urban Restoration Counseling Center (URCC) is a non-profit organization that provides mental health services to people of color by people of color. We educate Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities about the importance of mental health and train student therapists to heal the impacts of trauma passed down through family generations. Our mission is to reduce the trauma that is passed down through family generations by changing the BIPOC community's understanding of mental health.
The annual Butterfly Release Project is a mental health fair that aims to educate the San Diego communities of color about the importance of mental health awareness. We are releasing butterflies into the universe as a way to celebrate communities of color for addressing mental health issues.
Event Date: Saturday, October 7, 2023 from (11) am to (6)pm
Event Location: Skyline Hills Park-San Diego
