A trough pattern over the West has been responsible for the below seasonal stretch in temperatures we've had this week. Wednesday brought much of the same, temperature-wise. There was more sunshine today with less afternoon cloud cover compared to Tuesday. The trough pattern over the West will be replaced by a strengthening ridge of high pressure building in from the southeast.
