Description
High heat returns to start the week, with temperatures expected to peak on Tuesday. The marine layer is shallow on Monday, with the expectation of plenty of sunshine and only a few passing clouds with the hottest temperatures being felt east of the coast. The ridge of high pressure will gradually travel east this week, prompting a gradual cool down from the middle of this week through early next week. So while this heat wave may seem eerily similar to the 3-week long wave we saw last month, this looks much more short lived, with the biggest impacts felt on Monday and Tuesday before the midweek cool down.
