Heartbeat Music & Performing Arts Academy's Preschool 4 The Arts' is a state-funded program whose mission is to provide our children with a well-rounded education that will lay a strong foundation to aid in their progression of K-12. Early childhood is a crucial stage in every child's life in terms of intellect, physical, social, and emotional development. In our Preschool 4 The Arts program, we use music to accelerate brain development in the areas of processing sound and language development. HBMPAA Preschool 4 The Arts program serves families who meet the income qualifications for state funding. Families who are interested in enrolling must go through the initial steps of the enrollment process including the initial interview/student assessment as well as income verification before a child can be accepted. Our goal is to be a continued resource to our community as well as provide access to quality childcare to families who need financial assistance. MARCHING BAND PROGRAM HBCU inspiration and academic excellence are what you will get from Heartbeat Music & Performing Arts Academy (HBMPAA). HBMPAA is a non-profit organization providing Music & Dance Education to underserved youth in San Diego. What started as a drumline in 2011 at the Jackie Robinson YMCA, HBMPAA has grown into a renowned organization that uplifts the inner city and lower-income communities of San Diego. HBMPAA’s band is comprised of a highly skilled drumline and dynamic majorettes.
