St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center (SMSC), a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its 45th Annual Haute with Heart Fashion Show on Saturday, August 19th, from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Hilton Bayfront in Downtown San Diego (1 Park Blvd, San Diego, CA 92101). This year’s theme, “Fashion in Paradise,” will have guests transported to a tropical oasis. SMSC students and professional models will be dressed in the latest fashions as they walk down the runway at this vibrant paradise. As a part of this lush, local getaway, guests will enjoy a delicious luncheon, special up-lifting performances from students, live music, and fabulous boutique shopping. The annual event is dedicated to raising funds for SMSC and its innovative programs, such as its Activity Center, Adult Developmental Center, Behavior Modification Program, and Senior Program. The center’s “Life Program” allows students to develop creative outlets, learn marketable skills, and gain a sense of independence and self-esteem.
