Tonight, people in Poway are remembering a former teacher who died while hiking in Rancho Bernardo. Eddie Lindros’ body was found near Lake Hodges last Wednesday. He was beloved in the hiking community. He started the “Poway Backpackers Group” in 1972, and it continues to this day. 75 kids in the program returned from a nine-day backpacking trip. The current leader of the group Scott Rinehart is carrying on Eddie’s legacy. The cause of death has not been determined.
