NOVO, which is celebrating its 9th anniversary this Saturday, has two brewpubs in Otay Ranch Town Center and Imperial Beach, right on the southern edge of San Diego Bay. A third is scheduled to open at Westfield Mission Valley in November. The menu reflects the brewery’s Brazilian influences: empanadas filled with meat or cheese, skewers of Brazilian BBQ served with rice and beans, coxinha (chicken croquettes), and picanha (prime sirloin) with egg bread crumbs, pico de gallo, and yucca fries. Traditional North American fare is on the menu as well, including chicken wings, burgers, tacos, nachos, calamari, and mozzarella sticks.
