August 20 :30-1:15 Buffet luncheon for those who helped build the 28 million dollar facility--architects, contractors, Charger officials, city councilmen...50,000 seats were nearly filled to capacity.
August 21 1:15-2:23 Inauguration Day.
August 22 2:24-3:01 CONVIS Convention and Visitors Bureau tour. President S. Falk Nielson said: "San Diego has taken on a new image with the development of two such outstanding sports facilities in one year. They bolster the Bureau's nationwide promotional theme that "San Diego is Excitement."
They also toured the Sports Arena that day.
