Thonie Lee is a singer, songwriter, and actor who is a native of Arlington, TX. Thonie started singing at the age of 3, writing at 11 years old and recording at 13 years old. After graduating high school, he moved to Oklahoma for college and became the first person to win OKC’s People’s Choice Award for Best R&B Artist in 2015. Although he has recorded numerous songs over the years, Thonie released an official EP in 2018 and an album in 2022. As a songwriter, he has written for many independent artists as well as R&B artist Tank. As an actor, he’s performed in 14 plays and 5 films including the play “Princes” which won “Best LGBT Performance” at the San Diego Fringe Festival in 2017 and “Romance Is Dead” which has been played in over 20 film festivals around the world and has won numerous festival awards. Thonie is currently working on his next musical album which he describes as his most freeing project yet.
