Description
Conditions are little changed this week as we continue on a stretch of 60s along the coast and upper 70s inland. Dense clouds will lead to an overcast morning each day spanning from the coast through inland valleys but clearing more toward the afternoon. Haze will persist all day along the coast, however, leading to cooler than normal temperatures whereas inland valleys will be 5 to 10 degrees warmer than normal once the sun prevails.
We will see moisture (humidity) steadily increase moving forward. This will allow for a higher chance for a few stray mountain showers (and maybe even a couple thunderstorms) each afternoon through the weekend.
May Gray will stay in play this week, especially close to the coast. Expect mostly cloudy skies with only brief moments of sunshine the farther west you are. East County residents will enjoy the daily late morning/early afternoon shift toward more sunshine.
