Although there was a short portion of the afternoon with partial clearing, the majority of cities west of the mountains remained under sizeable cloud cover for the day. A trough of low pressure over the West will aid in deepening the marine layer. Expect a chance for patchy drizzle and patchy inland fog as it lingers.
