When megawatt celebrities came to town in the 1960s, chances are TV 8's legendary newsman Harold Keen interviewed them. Joan Crawford was in San Diego for the dedication of the Pepsi plant. Gregory Peck was here for the To Kill a Mockingbird world premiere. Dennis Hopper was attending two premieres. Jayne Mansfield was starring in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes at the Circle Arts Theater. Carol Channing was starring in Hello, Dolly! at the Civic Theatre.
