Description
February 14th is also National Heal a Heart day, a day for those suffering from grief and loss. A nonprofit will distribute 4 pound weighted bears to local hospitals. www.thecomfortcub.org
The non-profit The Comfort Cub has touched the hearts of 75,000 people to date nationwide, given for free to mothers who lost their newborn after birth or miscarried, ensuring mothers never go home empty-handed. When you hold The Comfort Cub that weighs about four pounds, it triggers the brain to release key neurotransmitters and "the cuddle hormone," which causes the body to relax and feel comforted.
