More than 9,000 Girl Scouts from San Diego and Imperial Counties are participating this year. Operation Thin Mint℠ (OTM) is a local Girl Scout service project that originated in San Diego in 2002. It helps military veterans and deployed overseas troops. With support from the community, Girl Scouts are on track to hit an impressive milestone this year of reaching a cumulative 4 million packages for OTM.
