Description
June 10, 1955
The largest class since 1950, 779 students graduated today at San Diego State College. Presiding at ceremonies in the campus Open Air Theater was President Malcolm A. Love. Channel 8 singled out a few of the graduates following the exercise. One was Richard Avery who graduated with the highest honors. Then, a kiss from his wife. Other graduates were Eloda and Bert Grigsby. That’s right, husband and wife. Now with their schoolwork behind them, they can settle down to family life. Bert is an ROTC cadet. Another was Dorothy Bonsignore, of 8305 Finley Street, La Mesa. She’s married and has a family. She earned her BA in English. John F. Burns has been a police officer in Escondido, but now that he’s graduated, he has other plans.
