May Day Festival
Some 300 hundred students from Sacred Heart Academy staged a May Day Festival this afternoon at Robb Field in Ocean Beach. The students, dressed in crepe paper costumes and old sheets, performed dances of different foreign countries. This group did a Swedish dance. No one was left out of the show as the kindergarten children put their best foot forward with a step called “Bump-A-Daisy”. 7th grade girls performed a Mexican dance while the 5th graders did an Irish jig. The Knights-of-Columbus provided the clowns for the festive occasion.
