January 24, 1964 Ozzie’s Band Party The 285 members of Ozzie’s Marching Band have been presenting outstanding half-time entertainment at the Chargers football games this year, in addition to their many other activities. Tonight, the band members were given a party in their honor by the Kearny Mesa VFW auxiliary, and somebody else played the music. In this case, the Jaguars. Tonight’s Ozzie banders were from the Moreno division. Tomorrow night, the El Cajon group twists. It was one way for the community to say thanks to a great musical organization which brought great publicity to San Diego.
