After a strong atmospheric river dumped heavy rain and mountain snow on the west coast, including San Diego, more wet weather can be expected. Along with the wet weather came cooler temperatures and wind. The unsettled weather continues into this first full week of the new year as Tuesday and Thursday present the best opportunities for widespread rain. Monday shows mostly dry but cloudy and cool weather. Highs on Monday will stay in the upper 50s and low 60s by the afternoon as drizzle tapers off in the early morning and clouds part slightly by the afternoon.
