Description
El Cajon Mayor, Bill Wells along with Stephanie & Sergio Noriega talked about the event, who it is for then gave a performance!
• Home of Guiding Hands proudly presents "Mayor Wells & His Special Friends" pop rock concert
• Saturday January 14 at the Magnolia Theater in El Cajon, 5 - 7pm
• FREE for people with special needs and anyone with a loved one who has special needs
• Concert was underwritten by a generous grant from the Walker Charitable Fund
• Mayor Bill Wells and his band will be joined on stage for a special performance with Banding Together, a band of musicians and singers who have all been diagnosed with a developmental disability such as Down syndrome, autism and epilepsy.
• The evening will include auctioning off a Taylor guitar autographed by Jason Mraz. 100% of the auction proceeds will be donated to Banding Together.
TICKET INFO
• Ticket drive-up pick-up January 9, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Home of Guiding Hands, 1908 Friendship Drive
• Tickets are free for people with special-needs and family members. Six tickets per family maximum.
• Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis
ABOUT HOME OF GUIDING HANDS
Home of Guiding Hands serves children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities such as Down syndrome, epilepsy, autism and cerebral palsy in California’s San Diego and Imperial counties. Each year, the 800-employee nonprofit delivers support services to nearly 4,000 people in 28 specialized group homes, early childhood development services and independent living support. The nonprofit also provides life-skills training, vocational assistance, free counseling, respite care and countywide transportation services.
