Description
Greater Than Tech is a San Diego 501c3 nonprofit bringing immersive STEM and business education programs to young girls and underserved students to create the next generation of technology leaders.
Women account for around 28% of the STEM workforce, while black women specifically account for less than 2%. Greater Than Tech’s co-founders, Jasmine LeFlore (San Diego Magazine’s 2022 Woman Builder of the Year & SDBJ Business Women of the Year Finalist) and Brittany Wheeler, D.Eng., are raising these numbers by serving as positive representation in STEM and mentoring and advocating for STEM enrichment programs.
Greater Than Tech specializes in engineering and entrepreneurial education while showing the real-world application of STEM for K-12 students through workshops, demo days, development programs, training and more. It also offers apprenticeship and junior mentor roles to select high school and collegiate students.
