A weak area of high pressure caused our afternoon temperatures to climb on Wednesday. Expect a slight cooldown on Thursday before the heat gets turned up for the weekend. Even though a ridge of high pressure will remain over the region for the rest of the week, it will be nudged west by a weak disturbance on Thursday. This will lead to slightly cooler temperatures and added high clouds streaming in across the sky.
