December 28, 1976 The Beach Boys may be 15 years older but their music still packs vitality. Through the surfing and hard rock eras, the band has managed to maintain its sound. Janine Tartaglia reports from the Sports Arena. Fast forward to 2022 and now they’re 46 years older than they were in 1976 and still touring! It’s a real treat to unearth this video and such a great surprise Dennis Wilson talked to TV 8. He said they sang about good vibrations and having fun. “I’m having more fun now as I’m a little older, I was 17, 18 –it was fun but now it’s a ball. As I get older you have more fun with it and not take it as serious, enjoy it” Wilson said. Our video has iconic hits ‘California Girls’ and ‘Sloop John B.” Thankfully this clip is in remarkably good shape with crisp, clear images of band members Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, Mike Love, and Al Jardine. A real treasure unearthed.
