Joe Biden is set to wrap up a visit to San Diego Friday by speaking at a technology company that will benefit from passage of the CHIPS and Science Act and having more chips being made in America. The president will visit Viasat Inc. located in Carlsbad. The company helps reduce reliance on oversea chip manufacturers, according to the White House. Biden will be joined by Rep. Mike Levin for the visit to the Carlsbad-headquartered Viasat as he looks to highlight the CHIPS and Science Act, a $280 billion legislative package, ahead of Tuesday's midterm elections. The bill is one of the Biden administration’s most significant legislative achievements.
