November 27, 1979 Pinnacle Peak was a casual steak restaurant. The El Cajon location opened in 1969 and our unknown eater Erik Sorenson visited in 1979. It moved to Santee in 1984 and closed in 2014. No tie necessary—and if you did show up wearing one, they would cut it off and they became wall art. A whole lot of food and the prices weren’t too bad. No doubt many happy family memories were made at Pinnacle Peak.
