Description
San Diego County Chevrolet dealers are partnering with nonprofit, Tree San Diego, to plant 100 trees in San Diego communities.
The partnership states that dealers pledge to plant one tree, on behalf of the buyers, for the first 100 Chevy Bolts sold at seven county dealerships. Each of the trees donated will have a personalized tag with the buyer's name. Chevrolet has donated more than $9,000 to help support growth of the region's urban forest.
“We aim to bring the benefits of trees to all San Diegans and are committed to making San Diego County a greener, healthier, and more equitable region through partnership,” said Elektra Fike-Data, Tree San Diego’s Director. “Generous donations from Chevrolet and others help move us closer to our goals.”
The 100th tree will be planted at Santa Venetia Park in Chula Vista at a ceremony at 10 a.m., October 14.
