Description
November 5, 1981
Magnum P.I. season two was just getting started when News 8’s Tim Hnedak sat down with its star Tom Selleck. They discussed his busy schedule—80 hours a week, Sunday off. It left little time to date, and with fame came putting himself on guard. He grew up in Los Angeles and had no plans to become an actor. He studied business in college. Opportunities to do commercials led to acting—even so he wasn’t sure he wanted to do it. Lucky for us, he stuck to it and has had a stellar career in film and television. His current show, Blue Bloods on CBS is in its thirteenth season. He stars as Frank Reagan, the New York Police Commissioner, and patriarch of the Reagan clan, a multigenerational family of cops.
