Description
March 16, 1959
Archie Moore’s Salt Mine is a training campsite near Ramona. He was in the process of clearing some of the area to add more buildings and build it up into a training area for future fighters…a lovely place some 1800 feet above sea level…quiet and plenty of fresh water and clean air…an ideal place to build up a fighter. We spent some time with Archie the other day…this is Tiny Ted Mason, my little 4-year-old who came along for the ride…Norman Henry, Archie’s business manager from Philadelphia was visiting at the time. Archie will referee fights in Wichita, Kansas and San Diego soon.
